Google on Monday announced plans to support women entrepreneurs in a virtual edition of the Google for India event to mark International Women's Day.

Google has donated 5 lakh $ to the Nasscom Foundation to provide digital and financial literacy training in six states - Bihar, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh. It is planned to provide support to 1 lakh women agricultural workers under this program.

The committee also announced the launch of a ‘Women Will’ web platform to provide community support, guidance and other programs to rural women entrepreneurs. Google says the platform will work to help turn and promote the ideas of women entrepreneurs into businesses.

It states that Google.org will provide a total of 25 million to social organizations in India and around the world to help promote the economic empowerment of women and girls.

On the occasion of Women's Day, Google Pay announced the launch of Business Pages which will enable homemakers to create a simple catalog of their products and services and reach people through a specific URL.
